IFAW’s newly released report, Digital Markets: Wildlife Trafficking Hidden in Plain Sight, offers a glimpse into the nature of the online trade in protected wildlife species via a six-week investigation into 34 popular, US-based online marketplaces. The report’s findings are a clear indication that online wildlife trafficking not only remains highly active in the digital space, but also continues to pose significant challenges to both biodiversity and species conservation, ultimately putting our own safety in jeopardy as well.
