Membership cards to Kitenden elephant corridor association

The Kitenden Corridor Conservation Association (KCCA) recently issued membership cards to the more than 1,400 landowners who collaborate with the International Fund for Animal Welfare to protect elephant habitat.

The Kitenden Corridor is a 26,000-acre piece of land that IFAW and African Wildlife Foundation have leased from land owners of the larger Olgulului/Olalarashi Group Ranch (OOGR).These cards firmly set the stage towards formation of an exclusive membership group that will eventually give birth to a Kitenden Limited Company.

The cards allow us to acknowledge KCCA members from the rest of the OOGR membership. In the past there have been hecklers and idlers who have strained our KCCA Meetings.

From now henceforth, no person not bearing this card shall be allowed to attend our KCCA meetings. Members received this with much excitement.

As each member received a card, he or she also got an abridged version of their agreement with IFAW, giving members powers and ownership of their relationship with us.

While many received their cards at a recent meeting, we will continue to distribute the cards until all 1,406 members have them in hand.  KCCA members have been streaming in daily to pick up their membership cards.
