The Big Give is doubling your donation to Moon Bears!

Moon Bears are under grave threat from habitat loss and hunting in Northeast India. At IFAW’s Bear Rescue Centre in Pakke Tiger Reserve, Arunachal Pradesh, orphaned bears receive expert care, nurture and rehabilitation to enable their eventual release back into the wild.

We urgently need to raise £117,600 to nurture 20 bears.

Care, Rescue, & Rehabilitation

IFAW’s Bear Rescue Centre takes in abandoned bears and provides them with the round the clock care and support they need. Our expert carers and vets are on hand, day and night, to look after these orphaned bear cubs. It can take up to three years of careful nurturing before we are able to release a bear back into the wild. We urgently need you to make a gift to help us rescue and protect these adorable creatures!

A bear is for life, not just for Christmas

Our Saving Asian Bears appeal runs from 4th – 17th December and is part of this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge. Generous supporters have already pledged £20,000 to save the bears which will be matched by up to £20,000 from the Big Give If you make a gift online on 4th, 5th or 6th December, it will be worth double. That’s right, double! So, please go online on 4th, 5th or 6th December from 10.00 am and make a generous donation to protect these magnificent Black Bears for future generations. Remember, the Bears are counting on you this Christmas!
