The problems we face are urgent, complicated, and resistant to change. Real solutions demand creativity, hard work, and your support. Together we can take bold action and create real-world solutions that make an immediate and lasting impact.
Animals and habitats need you now
The lingering economic impacts of COVID-19 and the increasing frequency and intensity of climate-related disasters are taking an immense toll on individual animals and populations, people and the place we call home.
We’ve identified where animals need your help the most—and we’re using innovative solutions right now to make a lasting impact for animals.
We need your help. Transformative gifts can help animals worldwide. Through your support we can make the most impact and help animals and people thrive together.
More than 60% of Africa’s elephants live in or migrate into areas outside of national parks and other protected spaces. This makes them vulnerable to human-wildlife conflict and their greatest threat to their survival— poaching. Together, we can create a network of protected spaces where elephants and other animals can safely migrate and people can thrive along with wildlife. A transformative gift to the Room to Roam Campaign protects wild spaces and wildlife, helps rangers stop poachers, and supports sustainable economic opportunities for people in Kenya, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi.
Your gift to the Animal Rescue Campaign will help rescue more animals in crisis and return them home.
Now more than ever, the effects of climate change are dramatically increasing the frequency and intensity of disasters. Fires, floods, droughts and severe weather events cause devastation and destruction and impact people, pets, and wildlife alike. Human-caused threats to animals like oil spills and illegal wildlife trade leave animals injured or orphaned. Ocean pollution can entangle wildlife and shifting tides cause dolphins to get stranded.
IFAW’s Wildlife Rescue program rescues, rehabilitates and re-wilds elephants, rhinos, koalas, and other wild animals affected by disaster or seized in trade. Our innovative partnerships ensure the animals get the care they need to thrive when they are returned to protected spaces in the wild.
In the past two decades, IFAW's Disaster Response & Risk Reduction team has helped over 350,000 animals around the world. You can help to rescue, care for, and reunite animals and their families affected by disasters.
Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA is a hot-spot for dolphin strandings. Most stranded animals will not survive the physical stress of being stuck in a tidal flat until the tide comes back in. IFAW’s Marine Mammal Rescue & Research team has the most comprehensive cetacean stranding response program in the world. The team also helps disentangle whales and other wildlife that are caught in fishing gear.
The Animal Rescue Campaign is an ambitious effort to that will help the responders can get there in time—and create new initiatives to help the most animals.
