How to stay up to date on CoP 16 IFAW news from CITES in Bangkok, Thailand

The 16th Conference of the Parties (CoP) of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species has begun here in Bangkok, Thailand.

As I hope you’ve read in our other blog posts the fate of numerous species will be decided over the next two weeks.

The world will watch if we manage to save several hundred polar bears from international trade each year.

At the same time though there will be vital discussions about lesser known species like Porbeagle sharks.

My job, as IFAW’s communications manager at CITES is to keep you abreast of what is happening.

We’ll have video interviews with IFAW experts in Bangkok as well as experts from other organisations, governments and scientists.

Keep coming back to to find out the latest news.

If that’s not fast enough for you check us out on twitter at @ifaweu where we’ll be live-tweeting the proceedings.

Finally, we’d like to hear from you and get you involved in the discussion to save the world’s wildlife.

Leave your comments and questions after the blogs and I will do my best to respond in a subsequent post.

Keep up with all of our efforts on our CITES page here.
