Staci McLennan

Director, EU Office

Staci joined the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) in 2014 and currently serves as the Director of the European Union (EU) office in Brussels. McLennan has extensive experience working on animal welfare, wildlife and environmental policy. She has worked in Brussels the last nine years, with prior experience working on state, regional and federal environmental policy in the US. 

Previously, Staci served as senior project lead for IFAW’s Wildlife Crime program, coordinating our EU-North Africa Wildlife Trafficking project. Staci has represented IFAW at meetings with the European Institutions and in international fora such as CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) and the Bern Convention, focusing on priority issues including wildlife cybercrime, strategies for confiscated animals and implementation of the EU Seal Regime. 

Staci has a Masters in Environment and Resource Management and conducted field research in Cambodia on the valuation of wildlife by local communities. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Wildlife Management from The Ohio State University.
