Help us name two orphaned Asiatic black bear cubs!

If you’ve ever wanted the opportunity to name two bear cubs, now is your chance!
Earlier this year, two tiny Asiatic black bear cubs—one male and one female—were found alone in a backyard in Morongial village, India. At only six to eight weeks old, these bears, also known as Moon bears due to the distinctive yellow crescent on their chests, could not survive without their mother. But, after forest officials made several attempts to locate her, they believed she may have fallen victim to poaching.
Fortunately, the cubs landed safely in the care of our partner Wildlife Trust of India. Since their rescue, they have been growing stronger and more curious each day. They’ve begun to explore their surroundings and play with bark and branches, developing essential survival skills like climbing, which they will need when they eventually return to the wild.
Now, it’s time to give these cute moon bear cubs names—and we need your help!
Fill out the form below to submit your name suggestions for these playful and resilient cubs. Not only could your names be chosen, but your creativity could also win you a prize from the IFAW shop!
