KRESK 4 OCEANS’s mission is to understand and combat marine pollution, particularly plastic pollution, but also chemical, noise and light pollution. KRESK 4 OCEANS supports IFAW in its “Blue Speeds for Shipping” aiming to establish better legislative standards to reduce the negative impact of commercial shipping on marine biodiversity, in particular underwater noise pollution, in European waters by introducing reduced commercial shipping speeds.
