Mahzooz the rescued Nile crocodile returns to the wild
May 17, 2022
Mahzooz, the confiscated Nile crocodile whose name means “lucky” in Arabic is now living in the wild where he belongs.
Back in February 2022, our team facilitated the transportation of Mahzooz from Jordan to Sudan in hopes of returning this wild animal to his natural habitat. The Wildlife Administration of Sudan kept Mahzooz at their facility for rehabilitation and to ensure he was in good health to be returned to the wild.
Today, Mahzooz is swimming in and walking around the Nile River! We could not be happier to share the successful story of rescuing him from the cruel practice of exotic pet ownership and returning him to the wild where he can thrive.
We documented Mahzooz’s release to share this joy with you, our supporters. Take a look!
