Saving the North Atlantic right whale - North America
Don't fail our whalefirst North Atlantic right whale calf death in 2021
first North Atlantic right whale calf death in 2021
The death of another North Atlantic right whale calf this weekend is a grim reminder of the urgency behind this critically endangered species’ struggle for survival.
Sadly, the calf was reported dead and stranded off the coast of Florida this past weekend, with obvious signs of trauma from vessel strike. It is the first right whale death reported in U.S. waters this year, and the third calf death reported over the last thirteen months.
We call on all IFAW supporters to take immediate action now.
