Moses Olinga
East Africa
Moses Olinga joined IFAW in 2018 to coordinate EU-funded projects in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
His work involved combatting transboundary illegal wildlife trade between the two countries and supporting conservation state agencies to protect wildlife in Uganda’s Queen Elizabeth National Park and Virunga National Park in eastern DRC.
Moses’s current focus as Uganda Program Manager is building up IFAW’s wildlife crime intervention hub for East Africa and implementing IFAW programmes in Uganda, DRC, and South Sudan.
Prior to joining IFAW, Moses served as Head of Law Enforcement at the Uganda Wildlife Authority before joining Africa’s Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), where he helped set up the Horn of Africa Wildlife Enforcement Network (HAWEN), traversing Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Somalia.
