IFAW stands with Texas in aftermath of Guadelupe River flooding
In the wake of the devastating flash floods along the Guadelupe River in Texas, our thoughts are with the individuals, families, and communities who have suffered unimaginable loss. We extend our deepest sympathies to all those who have been affected.
IFAW is coordinating with partners to prepare to assist relief efforts in the area. IFAW is a founding member of the National Animal Rescue and Sheltering Coalition (NARSC), which is meeting daily to discuss the situation and to learn about unmet animal needs in the state, knowing the current priority locally is the desperate search for missing people.
As the situation unfolds, we remain committed to supporting the most urgent and unmet needs and standing in solidarity with the communities of Texas and all those working tirelessly to respond.
IFAW has been dedicated to helping communities prepare, respond to, and recover from disasters around the world for more than 20 years. We stand ready to collaborate with local organizations and municipalities, ensuring that animals and the people who care for them are not forgotten during this crisis and in the long recovery ahead.
