Our investigation of any impact of Pareto Phone’s data breach on IFAW supporters is still ongoing.
We understand that the delay in providing further details may cause our supporters concern and we greatly appreciate your patience in these circumstances.
The compromised files are being analysed by Pareto Phone as quickly as possible, but it is a complex process. We will inform the impacted supporters as soon as we can. Our supporters will at that time be provided access to free support from IDCARE, a not-for-profit Australian charity that specialises in helping people impacted by data breaches.
We will continue to keep you updated.

Pareto Phone recently advised IFAW that they suffered a data breach in April 2023 which has regretfully impacted the data of some IFAW supporters.
IFAW is not a current partner of Pareto Phone, however, we did work with them over two years ago to conduct some fundraising outreach. As soon as we were notified, IFAW immediately began an internal investigation as well as working with Pareto Phone to analyse the affected data. At this point, we can confirm that no credit card numbers, or bank details, have been breached.
We are continuing to investigate the files and we will update impacted supporters of the results of our investigation as soon as possible. IFAW is committed to keeping the personal information of our supporters safe and secure and it is our high priority to complete this investigation.
Our work can’t get done without you. Please give what you can to help animals thrive.
