Read morelocal vet in Egypt saves collapsed horse
Dr. Amir Ahmed, a local vet in Tanta, Egypt, was on his way home from work when he came across an animal in need of his help. Overworked and dehydrated from the heat, a horse had collapsed in the street and was in dire need of help. Dr. Amir Ahmed took the horse to his clinic and began treating him.
Soon the media picked up the story and news spread quickly about the vet’s admirable action. When IFAW heard the story, we knew we wanted to help. IFAW stepped in and covered the expenses for the horse's treatment. We admire Dr. Amir Ahmed’s kindness towards animals and encourage others to help us build a world where animals are treated with respect.
