IFAW Asian Elephant Calf Move - Assam, India

On January 30th, the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW - www.ifaw.org) and its partner, the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI - www.wti.org.in), translocated 5 rehabilitated Asian elephants from the IFAW Wildlife Rescue Center in Kaziranga to their release site at Manas National Park in the northeast Indian state of Assam.

The rescued elephants were 3-6 years old and were hand-raised for several years before making the move. In this video IFAW's Emergency Relief Director Dr. Ian Robinson describes the elephant move and IFAW-WTI's wildlife rescue project in India.
