Watch: Ridiculously cute and up-close Russian bear cub feeding
Through through the spring I was able twice to travel by train to the International Fund for Animal Welfare bear rehabilitation center 300 miles northwest of Moscow. Through sixteen years of IFAW support to the project I had been there tens and tens of times. But always it is incredible and heart touching experience to be with the baby bears and being allowed to bottle fed them. There were at the time eight bear cubs born this winter: all of them cute and still tiny. They were kept at the bear “den house” . Meanwhile at the forest enclousure a mile away three bear cubs, born a year ago, have just finished their winter hibernation.
In this video, you can see bears being fed by IFAW staff and then being put back into their enclosures (sleeping boxes) at the den house. Team members work very hard to ensure the bears have very little human contact as possible, in this way, they are better able to return and live on their own in the wild. Today the cubs are at the forest enclosure experiencing the first touch with the wild life.
I hope you enjoy the video.
