People around the world continue to say “no” to seal products, but the Canadian government stubbornly continues trying to sell these cruel products. They are fighting the EU ban at the WTO and trying to overturn the ban in Russia. The bans must be defended!

Tell Canada that the seal hunt must end and that you will defend your right to say “no” to cruelty.

A quick note to Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper will help protect seals. We have prepared a template email for you to send. If you prefer, you can personalise this copy to make it more effective. Please ensure that you are polite at all times.

We commend the efforts that have gone into providing safe shelter for dogs from the streets of Sochi. The tireless work and commitment to building and maintaining shelters have saved numerous dogs from inhumane treatment.

Sheltering is a positive first step, but a longer-term plan is needed to ensure the future welfare of these dogs. IFAW’s extensive experience in dog and cat population management has shown that comprehensive plans tailored to specific communities are the most effective way to promote animal welfare. By developing and implementing long term solutions, Sochi will create a humane community for animals and people.

Take action now by urging your Russian ambassador to change the fate of Sochi’s street dogs by accepting IFAW’s offer to help develop humane, positive solutions. IFAW has expertise in emergency sheltering, best practice, and long-term solutions which is essential in changing the fate of Sochi’s street dogs. Sochi does not have to struggle with this challenge alone - IFAW is ready and willing to help.

It took more than 80 years of campaigning to banish the obscene 'sport' of foxes, deer, hares and mink being chased and ripped apart. Yet, astonishingly some - including the current Government - are thinking about turning back the clock.

The Government is considering amending the Hunting Act 2004 to remove the restriction on the number of dogs used in the 'flushing to guns' exemption. If this amendment is approved by Parliament, the result will be that the Act will become almost impossible to enforce. In essence, this will be like allowing hunting with dogs to return 'by the back door'. We fear that this could happen very quickly, in the next few weeks.

Don't let it happen! Say "NO!" to a return to cruelty.

Urge your MP to vote against this Hunting Act amendment, because it would make enforcement of the hunting ban almost impossible.

A quick note to your MP will help protect foxes and deer. We have prepared a template email for you to send. If you prefer, you can personalise this copy to make it more effective. Please ensure that you are polite at all times.

We need to raise awareness of the scale of the illegal online trade in wildlife products, particularly ivory. Help us protect elephants and their ivory from being traded illegally on the internet.

Urge your Minister to strengthen laws and crack down on this crime.
