Delphine Wespiser

Miss France 2012, IFAW France ambassador

Aged 20 and born in Elsass, Delphine was elected Miss France 2012 on December 3rd 2011 in Brittany. During the contest already, she announced her commitment to social issues, foremost animal welfare.

A red-haired, green-eyed and 1m75 young lady, Delphine studies International Business Management in Elsass and is very attached to her Alsatian just like Céline Sissler Bienvenu, Director of the International Fund for Animal Welfare France. It is therefore natural that Delphine chose to engage with IFAW, convinced by the fieldwork, the international dimension and educational projects of IFAW.

Determined and easy-going, her dedication and commitment to animals dates back to her childhood. At 4 years old, she became vegetarian and then had to wait until her 7th birthday to welcome her dog Paypper thanks to whom she learnt that "having a dog is first and foremost a responsibility."

As an IFAW France ambassador, Delphine contributes to highlighting the issue of dogs and homeless people management in the city and of elephant poaching in Africa.
