In 2001, The Beijing Raptor Rescue Center (BRRC) was founded to rescue and rehabilitate birds of prey in China. Raptors are protected by Chinese law, and they are threatened from habitat loss to illegal trade. At BRRC, staff have rescued over 4,000 birds of prey - more than 30 different species of hawks, eagles, owls and vultures –in the centers’ 16 years.

Hier, le Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) a posé un collier satellite sur l’un des lions du parc national de Nairobi, qui en compte plus de 30, afin de pouvoir le localiser et de suivre ses déplacements.

Cet exercice s’est déroulé tôt le matin sous les yeux de M. Kitili Mbathi, directeur général du KWS, et de responsables du Fonds international pour la protection des animaux (IFAW), sous la direction de M. Steve Njumbi.
