MEPs show their support for seals

It’s been almost five years since the historic day when an overwhelming majority of MEPs voted to ban the sale of seal products from commercial seal hunts.

Since then more than 1 million seals that could have reasonably expected to suffer and cruel death from commercial seal hunting have been spared.

This makes the EU seal ban one of the greatest ever successes in the global battle for animal welfare!

Little wonder then, that when we asked a few MEPs from across the political spectrum how they few about the EU seal ban they responded with unbridled enthusiasm. We’ll add more photos in the weeks to come to show that Europe remains proud and steadfast in support of this historic legislation.
