A British fox in the countryside.Every year November brings something else to the British countryside than just darker evenings, leaf-covered ground and an abundance of chestnuts.

If you are a fox in an area where illegal foxhunting may take place, it also brings the dark spectre of the “hunting season”.

World's largest marine network proclaimed

The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) has welcomed today’s proclamation of the new Commonwealth marine reserves network. Today’s announcement by the Australian Government means the marine reserves are now legally binding protected areas, ensuring that much of Australia’s oceans and marine life remain protected for years to come.

Our new arrivals pose naming challenges.Well, the baby boom is finally coming to an end.

Although some females are still pregnant and will give birth in the coming months, calves born after the start of October will not be considered “baby boomers”.

The two cubs, "Blair" and "Terry" feast on bear foods, like apples.Two male grizzly cubs were rescued in late October from the Kootenay Rockies region of British Columbia after their mother was shot and killed.

Momma was caught raiding chicken and turkey coops and she and her three cubs were relocated.
