Why get a pet if you can’t afford it? How did you end up unable to care for your animal? Why don’t you give your pet away to someone who has more money?

UAE Ministry and IFAW Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

The UAE Ministry of Environment and Water and IFAW’s office in Dubai signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) intended to promote environmental education and create awareness about environmental conservation.

Dr. Elsayed Ahmed Ahmed Mohammed, Regional Director of IFAW Middle East and North Africa office and Dr. Mariam Hassan Al-Shanasi, Undersecretary of the Technical Affairs at the Ministry of Environment and Water signed the MoU in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

It was an amazing experience to be in the room with enforcement experts from IFAW, INTERPOL, Botswana Police College, South Africa, Environment Canada, and officers from 11 countries across Southern Africa (South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Angola, Namibia, Lesotho, and Swaziland) who put their lives on the line to protect animals from poaching and illegal trade.
