Japan’s Fleet Departs to Hunt 900 Whales – Dot Earth Blog – NYTimes.com

I  tweeted earlier today about Japan’s whaling fleet, which is  setting a course for the Southern Ocean in the annual hunt (this year for close to 1,000 whales) that the country characterizes as scientific research, with any questions about  cuts in government support still pending.

Its time for the worlds conservationist to resort to violent tactics. Non violent tactics will not work if the worlds ban on whaling is lifted. If people know their lives will be in jeopardy by participating in this barbaric act , they may thing twice about doing it.
