I am not with the people who buys these things..but humans are just to stupid to realize what their souvenirs are really made out of. Don't blame tourists, blame the people who make these things.

The way to really protect endangered animals and stop the poaching and black market trade in products made from these animals is for everyone to stop purchasing them! If an item is made from fur, or looks to be ivory, or could be made from rhino horn, just don't buy it! Don't buy products in tourist shops in those countries where these exotic animals live! Because you are only further endangering them!
Yet more human insanity. *sigh*
It seems that the people who seek out these so called 'souvenirs' are under the impression that it provides some sort of status symbol, when in reality, it only serves to further destroy our environment and endanger those species lives.
Aside from the disgusting nature of the practices involved in obtaining these 'souvenirs,' it's also grosly tacky and tasteless. If you have no compassion for animals and the dire situation we have dug ourselves into, at least have some class.
The world is a crazy place. I doubt we can evolve fast enough to save ourselves, mainly thanks to Goverments and Corporations that would rather line their pockets with money.
