Tania McCrea-Steele is the Global Wildlife Cybercrime Project Lead for IFAW UK.
Tania has been with IFAW since 2004 and currently manages our global campaign to stop online wildlife crime and also campaigns to protect elephants and other wildlife from the threat of poaching.
Previously Tania led a team of wildlife crime investigators who continue to work to ensure the Hunting Act 2004, which banned the pursuit of foxes, deer, hare and mink with dogs for ‘sport’, is effectively enforced.
She has also coordinated IFAW evidence which has been used in public and private prosecutions against illegal hunters and has campaigned against whaling and the cruel and unnecessary Canadian seal hunt.
Before joining IFAW, Tania was involved in numerous conservation and animal welfare projects both in the UK and abroad.
