Evan Mwavua Mkala is IFAW’s Field Project Officer for the Amboseli Project. He is responsible for the day to day operations of the project.
He has a BSc degree in Wildlife Management from Moi University – Eldoret (Kenya), and working to complete his MA in Environmental Planning and Management from Nairobi University.
He has 19 years in active wildlife conservation in Kenya, that include disseminating conservation education, implementing community conservation and development projects in rural communities living with wildlife in Amboseli, Maasai Mara and Laikipia/Samburu areas of Kenya.
He has worked for Wildlife Clubs of Kenya and Kenya Wildlife Trust besides IFAW.
He loves hands on activities but besides work enjoys spending quality time with his wife and kids.
