WATCH: Canada whale rescuer recounts disentanglement success

A group of whale watchers with Quoddy Link Marine in the Bay of Fundy noticed a struggling small minke whale calf. The animal’s head just barely broke the surface to get a breath.

As the boat carefully moved closer, they confirmed the juvenile had rope around its mouth that prevented the whale from moving freely.

South African Airways has back pedaled on its three month old ban on the transportation of rhino, elephant, lion and tiger hunting trophies, quietly announcing on a “need to know” basis that they were back in business to handle the gory cargo.

Im Vergleich zum letzten Jahr ist die Zahl der Wolfsrudel im westlichen Polen und nahe der Grenze zu Deutschland weiter angestiegen. Das belegen die Ergebnisse des vom IFAW (Internationaler Tierschutz-Fonds) und der Naturschutzstiftung EuroNatur finanzierten Wolfsmonitorings, das die polnische Naturschutzorganisation Association for Nature Wolf (AfN Wolf) durchführt und zu dem nun ein aktueller Bericht vorliegt.
