The Coral Sea is a migration corridor and home to many species of whales and dolphins including humpback, dwarf minke and sperm whales.

Right now the Federal Government is considering its future and has released a draft plan open for public comment.

As part of the Protect our Coral Sea coalition, IFAW is one of 14 Australian and International conservation groups dedicated to gaining maximum protection for our Coral Sea, a tropical marine jewel which lies east of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and an incredible 'biodiversity hotspot'.

By sending a rapid submission to federal Environment Minister Tony Burke, you can call on him to create the world’s largest safe haven for the Coral Sea’s spectacular coral reefs.
