Ein verbesserter Schutzstatus für Berberaffen steht diese Woche bei der internationalen Artenschutzkonferenz CITES – auch Washingtoner Artenschutzübereinkommen genannt – zur Debatte. Seit 30 Jahren wäre es das erste Mal, dass wieder eine Affenart einen besseren internationalen Schutz bekommt.
