Carson is a Campaigns Officer with the International Fund for Animal Welfare’s Washington, D.C. office.
Prior to joining IFAW, Carson worked as a Federal Policy Advisor at the Animal Welfare Institute. She also completed a post-graduate litigation fellowship with the Natural Resources Defense Council and, while in law school, served as an intern with local and national wildlife advocacy organizations.
She holds a J.D., B.S. and B.A from Ohio State University, where she was active in advancing sustainability policies.
Carson has considerable experience with legislative and regulatory issues affecting wildlife protections at the state and federal level. She leads IFAW’s U.S. Big Cats in Captivity policy campaign and spearheads wildlife policy efforts related to trapping and predator control reform.
