「携帯電話写真のオスカー賞」としても知られる、第9回iPhone Photography Awards(iPhone写真コンテスト、IPPA)で最近、若い中国人写真家、ニウ・スーユエンがハルハ族の男性と捕獲したワシを撮った「男とワシ」というタイトルのiPhone写真で最優秀賞を受賞しました。中国人写真家がIPPAの最優秀賞を受賞したのは初めてです。

 

国際動物福祉基金(IFAW)は、猛禽類と鷹匠の密接な関わりを示して鷹狩りの文化を広く宣伝するこうした作品が、世界の一般大衆に美化され、広められることを深く憂慮しています。

 

「男とワシ」の写真に写っているハルハ族の男性は、頭巾をかぶったイヌワシのくちばしに鼻をつけていて、一見したところ、心温まる仲睦まじい光景に見えます。寧夏日報の記事によると、審査員がこの老人から伝わってくる愛情に感銘を受けたことから受賞できたのではないかと写真家は考えているそうです。

Drei der acht Nashorn-Kälber, die im letzten Monat in Indien aus den Fluten im Kaziranga-Nationalpark gerettet wurden, konnten jetzt ins Außengehege der Rettungsstation für Wildtiere umziehen, die der IFAW gemeinsam mit dem Wildlife Trust of India und der Forstbehörde von Assam betreibt.
