Vancouver born actor Ryan Reynolds lent his voice to the wildlife documentary Huntwatch that follows the 50 year battle for baby seals on the ice floes of Canada. The 90 minute feature film will make its world premiere at DOC NYC on Saturday, November 14. Tickets can be purchased here.
Two male elephant calves, both under three months old, were admitted to the International Fund for Animal Welfare/Wildlife Trust of India-run Wildlife Rescue Centre within 72 hours of each other. A few days prior, a female calf was admitted when efforts to reunite her with her herd were unsuccessful.
One sometimes forgets that poverty is a global problem. Even in developed countries, there are millions of people who suffer and barely have enough money to take care of themselves, let alone care for a pet. But often, for people who are facing poverty and social isolation, a pet is their only companion.
