A perfect match: Ryan Reynolds and seals

Huntwatch BTS - Ryan Reynolds Narration Recording Session from Huntwatch on Vimeo.

If you like romantic comedies like me, then you remember Ryan Reynolds in The Proposal, but I’m dating myself. He’s now the star of Deadpool and Mississippi Grind and several other impressive films.

He’s not only a movie star, but he also cares deeply about animals and the environment. And that’s what makes Reynolds a perfect fit as the narrator of the documentary chronicling the controversy of IFAW’s founding campaign.

He’s attracted a lot of media attention for this (although maybe not quite as much as his Deadpool playground stunt on Halloween). My favorite is MTV’s picture pairs of Reynolds and seals in similar poses. Take a peek below and see some of the other great coverage.

Reynolds called Huntwatch “incredible, thoughtful and moving” in the behind-the-scenes video above. He graciously lent his voice to the wildlife documentary that follows the 50-year battle for baby seals.

So if you’re anywhere near New York this Saturday, come see the Huntwatch premiere at DOC NYC. It will be airing at the School of Visual Arts Theatre in Manhattan from 4:30-6:00p.m. Get tickets here. I would love to see you there!

Not in NY? Check out Huntwatch on social: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
