In her career with IFAW Cindy has led various teams from the UK office and for IFAW headquarters.  Under her programmatic leadership, IFAW was an instrumental player in achieving the passage of the European Zoo Directive, parliamentary reform of UK laws to protect wildlife from unethical hunting practices and a ban on leghold traps in California, USA.

During her tenure heading the Animals in Crisis and Distress Programme, Cindy led the expansion of the Emergency Relief Programme, which played an important role in the successful rescue and release of thousands of endangered African penguins in the largest wildlife rehabilitation effort ever mounted.
