Lori Caron
At IFAW, Lori leverages her years of collaborative work on matters specific to right whale considerations within commercial fisheries. Seasoned with 23 years of financial services experience and inspired through her longtime partnership with a commercial fisherman, finding ways where commercial fisheries and the North Atlantic right whale may coexist has been Lori’s passion for many years. Her consistent presence in the regulatory process along with involvement and advocacy within the fishery for thoughtful coexistence has led to innovative gear solutions for the trap pot fishery brought forward by industry leaders.
Lori’s role as a Northeast Marine Campaigner provides focus to these efforts and the opportunity to enrich existing relationships and develop new ones within Northeast coastal communities as they relate to marine conservation needs and opportunities.
