His comments were echoed by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Angela Leadsom who committed to delivering real help and support to those governments at the meeting, including the host nation wrapped up in Johannesburg, South Africa today, the general consensus was that conservation trumped commerce in many significant votes for animals.</p> <p>The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Fauna and Flora (CITES) takes place once every three years, and this year brought together more than 4,000 representatives from governments and the conservation community to
