This action is for Massachusetts residents only.
Massachusetts lawmakers introduced a bill (H. 1275) earlier this year that would protect elephants and rhinos by stopping most sales of ivory and rhino horn in the state. The bill is expected to be heard October 21st in the Joint Judiciary Committee.
The bill is at a crucial stage. If the committee does not pass the bill, or if too many bad amendments weaken its impact, the future of this important conservation measure will become uncertain.
