LAUSD Furry Tales Art and Writing Exhibition
The LAUSD Arts Branch has teamed up again with the International Fund for Animal Welfare and Adopt the Arts Foundation to launch the new Cats, Dogs and Us education program and a special Furry Tales Art and Writing Exhibition open to all Los Angeles Unified School District students in grades K-8!
Join more than 5,000,000 students, teachers and families around the world who will be taking part in IFAW’s Animal Action Education program "Cats, Dogs, and Us" to learn about and celebrate dogs and cats, two animals that live side by side with people in every country and on every continent.
This program will not only help build your students’ knowledge and critical thinking about two of the world’s most beloved animals, it also promotes the LAUSD strategy of bringing arts into core instruction through multi-disciplinary lessons and activities aligned with common core and national standards in language arts, science and social studies.
