LAUSD Art Exhibition
Adopt the Arts Foundation and IFAW are proud to showcase the winning artwork from this year’s Art Contest for the Los Angeles Unified School District, Why the Animals of Los Angeles Matter!
Inspired by IFAW’s educational unit on biodiversity, Under One Sky, kids took to paper to portray animals seen in and around Los Angeles.
We received over 700 submissions from 30 schools in the District and selecting the winners was a difficult but enjoyable task. Kids in Los Angeles beautifully represented animals common in their neighborhoods from domestic pets to birds in the sky to big cats in the hills. For such an urban setting, the kids showed us that an abundant and diverse variety still prevails!
Please enjoy this online art exhibit and many, many thanks to all the educators and children of Los Angeles Unified School District for participating in this year’s program.
Thank you to all the participants in last year’s "Furry Tales" LAUSD-IFAW-Adopt the Arts program as well. We received several hundred wonderful entries from students and teachers in 25 LAUSD schools. Please click on any of the pictures below to enjoy collages of the inspiring works of art!
