Stopping Illegal Wildlife Trade

Stopping Illegal Wildlife Trade

IFAW is working with governments, customs officers, and rangers on ground to protect wildlife from illegal trade. We have trained rangers in Kenya, India and Russia to protect elephants, tigers, and other animals in their native habitats. We also have trained more than 1,000 customs and wildlife law enforcement officers to identify smuggled animals and illegal wildlife products in shipments before they cross international borders.
