Reaching Out to Pets in Cape Town, South Africa

At IFAW, we believe that no animal should suffer from an illness or injury that can be easily treated. That’s why, when we saw an opportunity to help the starving, diseased animals of Khayelitsha, we started offering veterinary care straight away, operating from a single shipping container with no running water or electricity. Since then, our project has grown to become a legally registered animal clinic, occupying six shipping containers with full utilities and supported by a team of volunteers.
