Fatal Flaw: The inadequacies of Japan’s ivory trade controls
IFAW believes that the Standing Committee's (SC) decision on designating Japan as a "trading partner" for the one-off sale of ivory stockpiles must be fully reviewed and that such a well-informed review will automatically lead to a withdrawal of this designated status. Japan does not meet the requirements to become a "trading partner"; according to Res. 10.10 (Rev. CoP12).
