Amanda Mirran

Floating Classrooms team

As part of IFAW's Floating Classrooms team, Amanda’s work includes handbook development, coordinating and conducting teacher orientation and training sessions and delivering marine conservation lessons to students. Amanda has a passion for sea turtles and extensive international experience in sea turtle conservation, studying and working with sea turtles in Costa Rica, French Polynesia and Bermuda. 

A former of employee of the New England Aquarium, she worked as a Senior Aquarist with their penguin colony and has participated in seabird fieldwork in New Zealand and Maine. Amanda enjoys photography, scuba diving and traveling, and loves to combine those passions within her work and adventures as much as possible!
