The National: Fight to halt Somalia's Smugglers From UAE
I was recently quoted in a United Arab Emirates online called The National on the topic of illegal wildlife trade activities that benefit from the unrest situations in Africa.
Somalia, South Sudan and other areas in Africa are examples of regions where the illegal wildlife trade rates increased dramatically due to lack of control because of the unrest.
This situation creates more supply for other countries in the world where there is demand for these illegal wildlife items.
Countries in the Middle east or the Arabian Gulf countries should increase efforts to combat illegal wildlife trade arise from the unrest regions in Africa like Horn of Africa.
