True Blood's Pam Uses Her Dark Powers for Good

Kristin Bauer - True Blood's "Pam" - Helping the International Fund for Animal Welfare to save animals around the world.

As season four of True Blood gets underway, I'm so excited to join my friends and fellow cast members Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin in supporting the amazing work of non-profits and in particular, my favorite charity - IFAW, the International Fund for Animal Welfare.

Thanks to our friends at TrueBlood-Online.com, on Saturday, June 25th, we kicked off an auction on eBay with a few special items.

All proceeds will go to the International Fund for Animal Welfare to support their fantastic work saving animals around the world.

Helping animals is one of my greatest passions, and I love my work as an ambassador for IFAW.

Please join me in supporting IFAW by bidding in the auction via their eBay site.

Thank you!

With much love,
Kristin Bauer

Truly this is an area of severe animal cruelty that needs to be stopped and thank you for getting involved in this most tragic industry. More people with big incomes and big hearts is needed to slow this industry down.

"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the ways its animals are treated."
Mahatma Gandhi
The United States has a long way to go in its moral progress. People need to educate themselves on all
animals and how they are treated; and we all need to stand up and speak up for the atrocities committed against animals.

TV and film personalities are at an advantage of getting the attention of the public more so than others, including our senators and representatives who have made laws to protect these wonderful animals, yet when it comes to enforcing these laws that have been passed, these laws are ignored and animals continue
to suffer needlessly. The Dept. of Agriculture is supposed to be looking after zoo and circus animals and they
have the power to send these abused animals like the elephants to sanctuaries where they can live out their
lives in peaceful settings and be placed in huge tracts of land with other animals like themselves so that they
can live out the rest of their lives humanely and in more of a natural setting. However, I have written many letters and e-mails about particular elephants, but these are ignored and nothing is ever done. Taxpayers are paying these government officials to do their jobs.

Good for Ms. Bauer for standing up for animals! More people in the television and film industry should stand
up for animals to bring all of the issues for animals to the public. Alot of people don't know how terrible
animals are treated, especially in circuses, zoos, and research labs done on helpless animals that need people to be their voices in telling the world what they go through daily.

You're amazing, Kristin. Standing up raises awareness - shines a light where the victims are voiceless. Thank you.
