VIDEO: Behind the Scenes of the Marine Mammal Rescue and Research Team

While this job is physically demanding, and often emotionally exhausting all of our team members, along with dedicated volunteers, really put their heart and soul into their work. I don’t think it’s really possible to capture exactly what it feels like to be out there, but this comes close.

Want a sneak peek into the International Fund for Animal Welfare Marine Mammal Rescue and Research team? Watch the video above. In the past we've shared footage of our stranding response efforts: Mass stranding responses, medical treatments, and releasing healthy animals back to the wild. This is just a little bit different, more personal. Some of our staff members share their insights and reactions to the work that we do every day.

While this job is physically demanding and often emotionally exhausting, all of our team members along with dedicated volunteers really put their heart and soul into their work. I don’t think it’s really possible to capture exactly what it feels like to be out there, but this video comes close. I am honored to work with such professional, dedicated, compassionate individuals. Hope you like the video! -- KT
