IFAW World Wildlife Day Statement

IFAW World Wildlife Day Statement
Thursday, 3 March, 2016
Yarmouth Port, MA

Azzedine Downes, President and CEO of the International Fund for Animal Welfare issued the following statement on World Wildlife Day:

“Today on World Wildlife Day we are proud to join forces with the U.S. Department of the Interior and an alliance of prominent businesses and NGO’s including Etsy and LiveAuctioneers.com to end rampant illegal wildlife trade. As one of the largest markets for these products in the world, together we can end the demand and keep threatened and endangered animals in the wild rather than in the marketplace.”
