Sonic Sea screening evidence of good partnerships

We are GRATEFUL to be a part of this evening’s showing in New York of Sonic Sea, a collaborative effort between IFAW, the Natural Resources Defense Council, and Imaginary Forces.

We are GRATEFUL for our longstanding, rare, and powerful partnership with NRDC which started with our joint campaign and historic, shared victory at Laguna San Ignacio 16 years ago and has since blossomed to include a range of whale and wildlife campaigns and victories, including yesterday’s in Hawaii!

We are GRATEFUL for the artistry and commitment of Imaginary Forces (IF) the top, LA-based production company who worked with us to make this movie happen. Daniel Hinerfeld of NRDC and Michelle Dougherty of IF are co-directors/producers of the film.

IF leaders Chip Houghton and Peter Frankfurt, both extremely talented and well-connected executives, will be present this evening with us and they will be very useful touchstones and collaborators for us going forward.

We are GRATEFUL for Rachel McAdams, Sting and others who have lent their time and talent to making Sonic Sea happen.

We are PROUD of Sonic Sea as one of the greatest manifestations yet of the powerful partnership we have built between IFAW and NRDC.

We are PROUD to be the world’s leading animal welfare and conservation organization working to rescue and protect animals around the world.

We are PROUD of IFAW’s ‘breed-apart” approach, of our pragmatism, practicality and political sophistication, and of our commitment to building a better world for animals and people.

Sometime IFAW contractors/collaborators Ambassador Alberto Szekely, our Whale Programme international legal advisor, and Malcolm Wright (of the “Whale Like Me” movie project now in production) will also be joining us this evening as well.

We are very GRATEFUL for your support of Whales and of IFAW.
