Slideshow: favorite images of Balinese World Rabies Day participants

This year for World Rabies Day, the International Fund for Animal Welfare and Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) were proud to partner in order to offer free rabies vaccinations for cats and dogs in conjunction with a free education session in Bali, Indonesia.

We were delighted by the attendance, particularly the number of children who stopped to hear our educational session.

As I mentioned in my last post, children represent up to 70% of rabies casualties.

While that’s a troubling figure for a problem which is 100% preventable, we hope the event was able to change the lives of all those who attended and take a step toward bringing about a humane rabies free Bali.

Here are a few of our favorite photos from the day.
