Rocker Matt Sorum on educating children about saving elephants through art
Music and art are my life, and animals have always been important to me.
When I met Donna Gadomski of the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) I saw a perfect opportunity to unite these two passions.
My non-profit, Adopt the Arts Foundation, and IFAW have partnered to help educate children about animal welfare through art.
This year, kids from 40 Los Angeles United School District (LAUSD) elementary schools learned about elephants and how they are threatened by international demand for their tusks.

I am excited about our partnership with IFAW and will continue to support the vitally important work they are doing for our world.
Our partnership with IFAW and LAUSD culminated in a youth art exhibit and event celebrating elephants, including a performance by The Changels.
